We began by looking after Mitel sx2000Light PABX and continued with the Mitel 3300 which were installed into medium size organisations large secondary schools, hotels, architects and business centres. We soon realised that smaller business and schools require smaller capacity telephone systems. NEC XN120, then SL1100 and now the SL2100 match these requirements. We can still provide traditional Lines and Calls along with front end messaging and virtual numbers (0800, 0808, 03 and geographic numbers). But as broadband speeds and reliability have increased VoIP in the form of SiP and Hosted Devices have become an alternative option to a traditional telephone system with traditional analogue and ISDN lines. Now we also offer FTTC and Leased Line Broadband with Hosted SiP Devices and SiP Trunks.

Meet The Team
Andy has worked as an engineer since 1988, initially in the IT sector, then his experience went via the retail sector EPOS/Weighing solutions and into Telecoms with Mitel Telecom in 1996. From then he has worked within Telecoms looking after business customers PABX which have transformed into IP/TDM PABX and VoIP Solutions while also extending his academic knowledge with two degrees BA (Hons) and MSc in IT. From 2005 Andy joined iPNorth Ltd (Unified Business Communications Ltd) and on a daily basis looks after customer solutions and produces quotes for new telecom solutions for customers based on Mitel MiVoice Business (Mitel 3300), Virtual and physical MiCollab Servers, Draytek iPPBX, Yeastar IP-PBX, SIP and Hosted Solutions. He also analyses customer telephone bills to see where savings can be made and where possible look to migrate to SiP.
Adrian started in telecommunications in 1990 looking after systems for the Department for Education and has worked on Mitel, Panasonic, Ericsson and NEC systems. Adrian joined Mitel Telecom in 2000 as a field engineer and was part of a team looking after hundreds of sites in the North of England. During his time at Mitel Adrian’s skills, knowledge and experience developed greatly as he adapted to the ever evolving world of Telecommunications. In 2004 Adrian joined IPNorth LTD (later to become Unified Business Communications LTD) initially as a Field Engineer and he is now a Director of the company. He has helped the company grow and develop its product and customer base over the years so that the products and service we offer are always at the forefront of technology.
Claire joined Unified Business
Communications in 2012 and she is our billing and retention manager and is responsible for the day to day running of our billing platform together with providing all our clients with accurate and simple billing. Claire manages all our client contracts, supplier accounts and is also responsible for our company accounts. Claire liaises with our suppliers and takes customer fault calls and billing queries for lines, calls and broadband issues and raises them on our WLR3 and broadband portal or investigates the issues on our billing platform.
